New spatial transcriptomics method for AAV tropisms

CLOVER-affiliated Postdoctoral Fellow Min Jee Jang and collaborators have developed a new spatial transcriptomics method for high-throughput, in situ characterization of AAV tropism, called USeqFISH. Using this method they profile pooled engineered AAV capsids and cargoes, finding preferences among molecularly-defined neuronal cell types. They also introduce a new capsid AAV-PHP.Across (PHP.AX) that has relatively unbiased and broad coverage across cell types. See the research briefing and the full story in Nature Biotechnology.
