X1 capsids for rodent brain endothelium and primate CNS
X1 capsids for rodent brain endothelium and primate CNS
June 08, 2023
CLOVER-affiliated grad student Xinhong Chen led a multi-institutional team, including CLOVER staff Damien Wolfe, Erin Sullivan, and Tim Shay, to develop and extensively validate new engineered AAVs with specific brain tropism in mouse endothelial cells and primate neurons. Additional highlights include enhanced capsids in multiple AAV serotype backbones that enable repeat dosing and proof of concept for transforming the brain endothelium into a 'biofactory' for secreted transgenes. Catch the full story in Nature Communications! Congratulations to Xinhong and the team!
